What are my Rights

You have the right to choose which auto glass shop replaces your glass. Some insurance companies may try to get you to go to one of their "preferred shops" (a practice known as "Steering") rather than encouraging you to go to whichever shop you'd like. Steering is not only illegal, but it usually is a recipe for a bad experience for the vehicle owner. When auto glass shops get work from job steering, their goal is to keep the customer happy, which in most cases is the insurance company.

Insurance FAQ's

Will checking on my deductible or inquiring about an auto glass claim raise my insurance rates?

Asking your insurance provider about your policy coverage and deductibles is generally not considered a claim. To be certain, please refer to your insurance policy.

Will filing an auto glass claim count towards my insurance policy?

In many cases, insurance companies will not count auto glass damage as a claim on your policy. To be certain, please refer to your policy or contact your agent or insurance provider to confirm your coverage.

What if I only have liability coverage?

Because liability insurance only provides coverage for damages to another vehicle, auto glass services are not covered under your liability policy. We do offer multiple payment options including cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Will all insurance companies waive my deductible if my windshield is repaired rather than replaced?

Many insurance companies cover windshield repair a 100 percent with no deductible. A Dart Auto Glass representative will be happy to help you with your questions regarding insurance coverage.

What if my deductible is the same or more than the auto glass service?

In most cases the total price of the auto glass service through us, will be lower than most $250 deductibles. If this is the case, we would suggest not adding an auto glass claim to your insurance, but once again, you may want to consult with your insurance agent.

Do I need to contact my agent or insurance company before I contact Dart Auto Glass Dallas?

We're experts at verifying coverage, filing the claim and handling all the paperwork. In many cases, we have coverage information available online. If not, we'll contact your insurance company and submit the claim on your behalf. If you would like to handle the process yourself, please just advise your insurance carrier that you would like Dart Auto Glass to perform your auto glass replacement, or windshield repair.

Does Dart Auto Glass handle claims and paperwork?

Yes, our auto glass shop will handle all the processes and paperwork associated with your auto glass repair or auto glass replacement claim, if you wish. You don’t have to worry about a thing.

Will my insurance cover a windshield repair repair even if I have a deductible?

Most insurance companies do waive your deductible on a windshield repair. It is more cost effective for them than having to do a complete windshield replacement, and helps insurance companies keep premiums lower. Keep in mind, most insurance companies do waive deductibles for windshield repairs, but it is not mandatory. Check with your insurance carrier to determine your coverage for a windshield repair.
